Breaks Interstate Park mtn bike trail
1 reviews
 5 of 5

This is nice trail through a national park. The trail is mostly down hill with an option at the end to return to the parking area by a 1/2 road up the hill or to ride back through the 2-3 mile loop. There are only a couple of stream crossings, actually they are barely a trickle. The singletrack runs around the mountain and runs up and down the hillside. The trail is fairly fast with few obstacles that would challenge anyone but a beginner.

Summary:
This is sort of an update for this trail. I was informed by one of the lbs that this trail has around 7 miles of singletrack that i was unaware of at the time of my first review. I rode it today and can say that it has alot of trail...Some good climbs and some great long dowmhill runs...It has quite a few technical areas, but no large drop-offs, the trail can be ridden by a slightly advanced begineer with some walking or an advanced begineer who isn't afraid to bruse or crack a rib(I don't plan on going to the hospital either), but takes a decent rider to ride it all...it was a blast and i will be going there as much as possible...and there are campsites nearby...actually within a 1/4 mile ride of the trailhead...

Recommended Route:
green blazes for a nice easy ride with very little climbing, or cut off to the right after 1/2 mile and follow the black blazes...

Other recommended trails in the same area:
pine mtn. trail primarily potter's flats area, 7 miles from this trail,
