Weekend Warrior Summary: Don't bother, the horses have destroyed all of the trails on the South side of the park, and the couple of trails on the North side are not maintained and only about 2 miles in total distance. Other recommended trails in the same area: none

Ridden Trail: Ridden Once

, from The Front Summary: This park has it all: great primitive camp sites, great fishing and swimming, and some wonderful trails for hiking and biking. The ranger at the 'welcome station' seemed a little apprehensive about us biking, and emphasised the fact that trail rides are given in the park. We ran into a group of horse riders and had some difficulty getting by them even though we were courteous. Recommended Route: Start at the ranger's office and pick up a map. Not all trails are MTB compatable, and be aware of horses. Start on Cullers and explore side trails. Tater patch is a blast. AJ's drop does just that, so watch out. Other recommended trails in the same area: Not telling

Ridden Trail: Once a week

, from Front Royal, VA Summary: First ride there. All I know is that I am glad to see another MTB specific set of trails. From the map, it appears that there are several trails that could be grouped together into a decent afternoons ride. I rode the orange trail out and back, which consisted of gravel road, single-track on the hill side, and double-track along the river. I believe that the majority of the single-track will be found on the trails I have yet to explore. Next weekend!! I give it 3 stars for now, I will adjust after riding the whole deal. Recommended Route: Start with a warm up by riding the extremely nice pavement down to the river and back, then head down the orange, no recommendations after that. Other recommended trails in the same area: that is a secret
