The park service has closed River Bend to mountain bikes. It seems all the illegal dog walkers who let there dogs roam off leash are ok to break the law, but god forbid we ride out there where our tax money pays for it all!

Summary:
This trail not recommended for humans on bikes. I was napping under a tree one day when some freak on a bicycle tried to hug me (or maybe he was trying to mount me!)Luckily my Mom was nearby in the Potomac river taking a dump. She heard my screams and ran to my aid....smashing his helmet with her mighty paw and taking a good size bite out his crappy Schwinn.

Summary:
this trail is very nice. i did run into a problem though. while riding my bike through a steep incline, a baby black bear was sleeping under a tree. i went to go hug it when the mother bear came out of no where and ripped half my grill off. so be careful on the trail between riverbend and greatfalls, cause i know that bitch is still around.
