The CCT offers a lot of singletrack riding relative to Northern VA. Its most remarkable feature is that it connects so many other trail systems together (accotink & wakefield at it's southern end, Fox mill in the middle and Lake Fairfax, Dificult run at the northern end.) I give it 4 stars because of this! Recommended Route:
Over three years in the making, this trail is a collection of singletrack and some toepaths that stretches from occoquan to great falls across Fairfax County (hence the name: Cross-County trail) Other recommended trails in the same area:
the ones i've mentioned, plus fountainhead
