Ridden Trail: Every few months

Weekend Warrior Summary: Great trail. We always start from the old Girl Scout campground area and ride the trail from there to the road. It ends right beside where the rest of the trail begins. Nice downhill, some technical, beware the Hill Of Tears!!! If you lose your momentum - you'll have to push the rest of the way up. At the very end is an extreme downhill ride. Not so much technical but very steep. I've always gone down first to watch the inevitable endo. Recommended Route: Go to Norton and take 619 to NF-238 the old Girl Scout Campground is on the right just after NF-233. The put-out is in Ramsey so you'll want a second vehicle.

Ridden Trail: Once a month

, from Castlewood Summary: I ride horses on the trails usually at least once a month if not more. The trails are great and you can meet some real nice folks. Try it out!! Recommended Route: The Big Cherry part of High Knob is the best to trail ride. The trails are cut out for horses. There are numerous ways to ride and the ride can be made out to be a short 3 hour ride or even an all day adventure. Other recommended trails in the same area: The Hensley Settlement (Cumberland Mountain) ride is very nice. Be sure to see the Sand Cave and look off the White Rocks. It has a great view.

, from Wise Summary: I've never ridden the trail from the tower to the lake but I have hiked it. It is a tight trail that should be fun. The rest of the trail is fast and fun. Its mostly downhill with only hills that even I could climb. Any body interested in riding it email me and we could get together and ride it. Recommended Route: I would start at the tower and ride the trail down to Recreation Lake. From there you will hit the road and its a short ride to the rest of the trail. I would recomend leaving a car at Clear Creek in Ramsey unless you want to ride back up. Other recommended trails in the same area: For easy riding the Guest River Gorge is nearby. The Virginia Creeper Trail is about an hour away.

, from wise Summary: We started at the Tower and road down to the trail head.....it was a fast ride up to that point........but once we hit the trail it was very interesting.....i had all the downhill and mud that I wanted and more. It is a great trail......just be careful on some of the slick rock. Recommended Route: Start at the tower and take the road to the start of the trail head and hang on Other recommended trails in the same area: The Guest River Gorge.

, from Wise Summary: ... Recommended Route: Do you guys realize that taking a mountian bike off-road on High Knob is illegal? It doesn't make sense that horses are allowed but mtn bikes aren't. Other recommended trails in the same area: The guest river gourge in Coeburn is an easy but scenic ride
