miles and miles of single track out in the middle of the forest. you can find anything from easy trails to the mudiest trails anywhere. it doesn't usually dry out till the middle of august. motorbikes horses hikers and hunters use the same area. this is probably some of the best trails in washington.

Route Name: Mima-Porter #8 Loop
Description

This is a pretty good solo loop that can be ridden several ways., depending on where you start. There is a large washout at the lower end which has destroyed the trail, so if you start there it is all uphill for a few miles. You can vary between road and trail as you ride up to Wedekind and there are a few trailheads starting from that point. To start this ride I drive up porter creek road until it turns to gravel. Continue to a 4 way intersection, go right, the C-1000, and continue to the start point that is marked on the track as "Start". This is just before the washout. there is now a large pile of dirt and rocks blocking the road.(9/7/2008).
