Cross Country Rider Summary: I just rode this trail for the first time and was grinnin' and spinnin' like crazy. Thanks to Mike at Clark's Bike Shop for turning me onto this little gem. Excellent flow, huge bermed turns, great views of the lake... easily one of my favorite trails. There were times I felt like a little matchbox car zingin' around there... I will be back! Recommended Route: Start at the visitors center at Kerr Scott Lake and take it all the way to Bandit's Roost Campground and back. Hit the optional loop- also big fun- and you've got yourself a great fourteen to fifteen mile ride. Goes by quick cause it's so damn fun...

Weekend Warrior Summary: I have been riding mountain bikes for 18 years, and this trail is now in my top 3 for sure. I dare say that it is more fun than Tsali, although on a smaller scale. This one is usually ridden out and back, either from Bandits roost campground or from Kerr scott dam. I am blown away by the amount of work and insight that went into every berm and topography choice. My favorite piece is the 2.1 miles from mountain berry park to Bandit's Roost. There was a stretch there where I felt like I did not need to pedal for an entire mile. This whole trail flows and undulates in a brilliant way, and there are some really gorgeous parts of the woods that it passes through also. I cannot say enough about the amount of smiles that this out and back produced. I feel like I should write a poem instead of a review... Recommended Route: out and back/either way. Other recommended trails in the same area: dark mountain
