Weekend Warrior Summary: This is a great trail if you want a degree of difficulty. It is not flat land.It is not smooth pavement. The green can be done by a basic skilled rider. The red loops offer a lot of climb as well as several sweeping downhills.one hill known as the dam drop is much like riding a rollercoaster.it is very fun. However it is for a more skilled rider.I ride it three times a week most of the time.I have heard nothing but positive feedback from riders I talk to on the trail. It is still in the works and will be an even longer and better ride than it is now.As a member of the FWMBA I hope to see it become an even better place and hope it is enjoyed by many.Come see what we are making If you like a challenge I think you will enjoy. Recommended Route: Start with green and go from there.

Weekend Warrior Summary: Awesome trail, do not recommend riding shortly after the rain as a few sections will still be muddy. Great view over looking lake Worth spill way. Like previously mentioned there are no beginner sections.
Green = Intermediate, Blue = Int./Advanced, Red = Adv./Expert.
I am a beginner rider and I really enjoy this trail. There are a lot of fast sections with a few sharp turns that usually end with a nice quick little up hill to work those legs. On the trail you can expect roots, small stumps and rocks. I have only rode most of green and 1 blue loop. The trail can be loose in sections so you need to pay attention. This trail can be hard for beginners but I recommend it as it is some of the best riding in Fort Worth!
practice makes perfect!
Recommended Route: The trail head is at the pull off where the pavilion is. Off of Roberts cut-off road there are a lot of roads that look like the lead into the park. Drop in to the trail and take the left trail at the FWMBA sign, this is the Green trail and will lead you through the Green trail. If you are looking for a little bit more action, there are a lot forks that lead off into the blue trails as well as the more advanced and technical Red trails. Other recommended trails in the same area: Sansom Park is the only trail I had ridden recently.

Cross Country Rider Summary: gentlemen, this is one of the premier ST MTB trails in Texas. you wind around 9+ miles of intermediate, advanced and expert trails. the elevation change over all trails is +1000' it is everything you want in a ST.
majority of trials are narrow dirt, with rocks and occasional ledges. some drops and steeps along the way to challenge the best. several creek crossings and alot of sharp turns which still allow for good speeds.
there are NO begginner trails....green=intermediate, blue= int/advanced and red= adv/expert.
excellent trail markings and good TH map. download same from fwmba.org.
someone should write and article on how Mountain Biking Saved a Town. thats an exageration of course, but what has happened is that the development , maintenance and use of this trail has saved Sansom Park from the malignant neglect of the City of FTW. there are now regular police patrols and lots of bikers, especially on weekends. FWMBA.org should be given the presidential medal of freedom for redeeming this park.
FEAR NOT, GO FORTH AND RIDE THIS ONE
is it a really good trail.

Cross Country Rider Summary: Very enjoyable ride! I was pleasantly surprised by the technicality of this trail. I used to live in Dallas but have since moved to NW Arkansas and really thought nothing in D/FW could compare to what I've been riding lately, but this trail proved me wrong and was really a lot of fun. I will definitely hit this again on my next stop through D/FW. Recommended Route: We rode the green loop for a warm-up and then looped around again, hitting all the blue sections as well as the expert loop. Drops, technical climbs and descents, banked turns and dips - good stuff. We even ended up on a new section they just built in the last few weeks - there are some serious aerobic climbs on that section.
The area is a little sketchy and the park is well known by local residents as a 'pervert' hangout (my wife grew up quite close to there) but the police seem to patrol it regularly nowadays and are trying to clean up its image. Other recommended trails in the same area: Cedar Hill, Grapevine, Boulder

Cross Country Rider Summary: I rode this trail last weekend after hearing all the hype and was extremely dissappointed. There was a good buzz about how Fort Worth finally has a decent trail. Its CRAP!
There is broken glass everywhere, almost as if someone is intentionally spreading it all over the trail. Don't fall, you'll be sorry.
Also, while I was getting geared up, apparantly some of the local flavor decided to a abandon 2 tiny domesticated kittens.
To make a long story short, stay away or you might end up with two cats in a duffle bag, shreded tires, and a pissed off view of the world.
Bring a gun if your going solo....
I am missing Austin more and more everyday. Other recommended trails in the same area: Boulder, Lake Grapevine, Fossil Rim
