Edwards Creek Trail
6 reviews
 4.67 of 5

The Edwards Creek Trail is in the city limits of Greenville. The trail head is shared with the Flat River Rail Trail ,which can be ridden for a four mile warm up. The Mountain bike trail is very technical with short steep climbs, off camber turns, roots, rocks, jumps, drops, berms, creek crossings and flat out straights. The trail is packed into a small area so you are never far from the car. There are currently about 7 miles of single track. Also there is a one mile childrens loop and a two mile Expert loop. We are working toward another 3 miles of single track. This trail is in the city limits and can be ridden during hunting season

Summary:
This trail was fun! It wasn't as technically challenging as I was hoping, but still a good time. The trail winds up and down over and over again and the climbs are about the right length. It seems like the downhills were always followed by a sharp turn or obstacle so you are always working for speed. Love the banked turns everywhere, they help keep the momentum. I would say the obstacles here are similar in challenge to those of Burchfield. Very efficient use of land, trail seems well cared for. Jumps and/or drops are petite and kinda wimpy. This place has potential... I will ride this sucker again, but it does fall second to Burchfield for the area.

EC is a technical playground for grown-ups. Tons of fun, very chalenging skinny's, ladders, great singletrack. Tons of fun at every corner and there are a ton of them, it's tight!

Summary:
I checked this place out for the first time today. I have to say I was very impressed. TONS of ladders, bridges, small jumps, and endless technical terrain. A lot of the stuff seemed to be recently updated. You can make it at hard as you want to make it. There are bypasses for the harder stuff but I would say jsut do it. The signage is good. No map, but the trail itself is well marked so you will not get lost. Definately a great trail to train on.

Recommended Route:
One way. Give the narrow creek crossing a try and make sure you hit all the bridges and ladders. Just make sure you make it all the way around the 7 mile trail.

Im only in Michigan for school. This is the first trail I have hit in this area.
