Summary:
This is a paved singletrack ride right in the heart of downtown Seattle. It is the REI customer product-testing trail which starts right next to the little espresso cart. The trail is approximately 65 yards long, and is quite an aerobic challenge if you put in 100 laps or so! One added benefit of this trail is that if you don't have a mountain bike, the bikes are free to test-ride, and you get then right next to the trailhead inside the REI store! Technical challenges include the possibility of colliding with pedestrians trying to get into and out of the store, and being knocked over by beginner mountain bikers who are also testing bikes on this trail. There is some fine scenery in the form of fake rocks, an espresso cart, some kind of fake pond or waterfall or something, and a few trees and bushes along the trail. But the proximity of the espresso cart makes this a must-ride singletrack for the Seattle area!

Recommended Route:
Follow the directional signs, for the added technical challenge of dodging/colliding with REI customers who are testing new hiking boots or mountain bikes, ride it backwards.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Wal*Mart parking lot in Tacoma, for technical urban riding.
