Summary:
If there is only time for one ride while you are in town this is probably the best one. You get ups and downs with a lot of rolling and twisting turns. This is just a fun trail that shouldn't be missed.

The forest service has done a great job of marking the trails at just about every junction. You can't really get lost in the Cache Creek area. If you need a map head over to Fitzgerald's Bicycles next to the Snake River Brewery.

Recommended Route:
At the Cache Creek trailhead take the road up (to the south). There are 3 marked turnoffs to get to Putt-Putt. I recommend riding all the way to the third one for the most fun and longest option. Taking one of the earlier ones means a shorter ride.

You can turn off to your left on the Cache Creek Trail to get back to the trailhead directly. If you stay on the trail the entire way you will come to a parking lot north of where you parked. Make your way west (toward town) to Redmond St. Take a left on Redmond until you come to Cache Creek. Take a left on Cache Creek until you reach the trailhead.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Hagen, Ferrins, Game Creek, Teton Pass for DH.

mtn man2's review is right on target. Great, fun ride. Tight singletrack among thick wildflowers; short climbs
