El Alto
1 reviews
 5 of 5

El Alto will test even the most experienced and fit rider. Several lung-popping uphill grinds on steep slabs, with intermittent technical features guaranteed to file down your big chain ring. Plenty of opportunties for mischief and mayhem on the downhill ride.

Access the trail by going west from Aspen Grove Trailhead towards Alberts Ridge along the west park boundary.

El Alto is a loop with an out-and-back at the far end which leads to an overlook with excellent view of the area

Summary:
Advanced and expert riders will love this trail. Many challenging twists and turns, with steep ups and downs, a lot of them on granite slickrock outcroppings.

Protective gear is not a bad idea.

Recommended Route:
Loop can be ridden clockwise or counterwise; don't miss the overlook portion.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Most of the trails in Curt Gowdy. Headquarters, Aspen Loop and Death Crotch at Happy Jack Area. Turtle Rock at Vedauwoo
