Frickin' wicked decent smooth, winding singletrack through meadows and forest along Cache creek. Quite undulating. High altitude lungs helpful. Loop can be ridden in either direction, but is described here in my preferred clockwise direction. The above mentioned trailhead takes you on a gentle climb in a grassy, sage brush meadow and winds up and down in the floor of the valley on the north side of cache creek. Once this trail merges back with the road, continue to ride east on the road up the valley for another half mile or so. Another trailhead leaves the road to the right into the forest, crosses cache creek, and brings you back, eventually, to the lower ski slopes of Snow King Resort. Along this section of the trail in the woods, forks in the singletrack present several options. Keep left at each fork to prolong the ride and go right to bail out. For the best, longest ride, keep left at each fork until you intersect a switchbacking snow cat road on Snow King Mountain. Ride up this road until you reach the top of the chairlift (where the alpine slide starts), ride the trail from the top of the lift traversing the wider ski runs and keep left at the main fork (this is roughly the 10 mile mark). Eventually, you will enter the woods on the west side of Snow King where the trail traverses the mountain in the woods for untold miles, south to Hoback Jct. Winds up and down as far as you can imagine with ample opportunity to bail out into the town of Jackson. For more info, contact Hoback Sports in Jackson.
Ride east of Snow King Resort on Cache Creek Road for less than a mile until road becomes dirt. Ride another 100 yards or so, singletrack departs left from road.
Summary: For scenery this trails kicks butt. You ride through this meadow of head high wild flowers at blazing speeds. When the colors blend together you now you hit Wrap speed. The uphill was just as spectacular. If you have 2 vehicles and a group you can cut out the ride back into town, which if you have done is definately not mostly downhill. The trails are well marked and maintained even for first timers.

Cross Country Rider
Summary: The other reviews that were kind of "ho-hum" must've come from guys who ride the trail a lot, because I ride quite a bit and thought this trail was great and worth the time. Take Cache road out of town and continue up it until it turns to gravel, then dirt, then single track. Turn right at the Cache Creek 2 sign and stay on the single track. The views over the mountain as you decent the rest of the trail are phenomenal...wish I had had my camera. Yes, the trail spits you out 10 miles outside of town, but there is a bike path that goes right back into town. I stopped at Hoback, got some more water and did it again because it was such a good time.
Any day on the bike is a good day.
Ride this trail if you are in town and looking to ride.
Scott from Austins review is right on the money.
Recommended Route: I went clockwise like everyone else. Do not follow the map that Hoback bikes gives you. It sucks and they will admit it sucks after you get back to the shop.

Summary: The uphill was simple. The downhill was great. It's one of those trails where the downhill doesn't seem to equal the uphill. Meaning....there seems to be much more downhill. This trail would be a 5 tire, but the 8 mile ride on the pavement back takes away some of the coolness.
Recommended Route: We did the Cache Creek/Game Creek loop. We wanted something longer than what was described here. Find Jackson and then go to the end of Cache Creek Road. Go all the way to the end, there are trail heads prior to the end of Cache Creek Road that might confuse you. Time to ride....The rest is pretty simple to figure out. Go 4.2 miles up the jeep trail that turns into more or less a single track trail. At an marked intersection, go to the right towards Game Creek. After a short uphill section, you reach a saddle and it's all down hill from here until you reach a paved road at about 10 miles from the trail head. The last 8 miles are on pavement, but it isn't to bad as they built a special paved section off the road to ride on.

Summary: *Great* trail for beginner-intermediates, if they dont mind a kind of steep haul up the hill from Jackson. Eh. Its fine, I spose-- crowded by Jackson standards on a weekend, pretty scenery but there's better nearby. Only technical section is one bit of the descent from the ridge down to the Jackson Town side. Putt putt was OK, nice bit of singletrack. If youre an experienced rider and can only ride one trail in Jackson, this aint it. Get someone to point you out to the Cabin Creek / Dog Creek loop! or else go out to Shadow Mountain drop out on the Elk reserve, or up the horse trails to Pickle Pass.
Recommended Route: Definitely ride it starting from the Snow King side.. we came up from the far side instead, which was beautiful in late June but rode up singletrack that would have been more fun to come down.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Cabin / Dog Creek trails --- WEAR A BEAR BELL THERE ARE FREAKIN MOOSE **EVERYWHERE**!!

Summary: WOW..what a great ride..The start, up Snow King, was very tough...pushing the bike is an option here. I rode from Jackson across Cache to Game and then Game out to the highway and back to town probably around 23mi. The trail is in great shape and was probably the best for ride, sights, fun, and thrill that I have been on to date. I paused often to enjoy the view and then had a great down hill run after the Game creek crossing. You'll know you've had a great ride when you can jump the cattle crossing at the end of the trail. I started at 7:00AM on the trail and saw only a few other people during the entire ride. This is a good ride for anyone in decent shape with average ability. Take plenty of water and snacks...
Recommended Route: Begin at the base of Snow King trail on Cache street and ride up the trail for a really great burn before you begin the Cache/Game creek trails. Ride up about 4 switch backs until you see the single track exit to the left....then go for it.
