ROCKPORT PARK TRAILS

Average Rating:    (2.5 of 5)

No. of Reviews: 4

Part of extensive City of Janesville Parks System. This system serves as cross country trails system in the winter so the trails are wide and fast. Several short, steep, but entirely makeable climbs can be encountered on any loop. Trails are mostly hard-packed with some rocky downhills. Trails are open to hikers and bikers so use caution.

Summary:
The rock port bike park is an incredible unknown bike park full of single track trails and bigger but u have to know where to look. the single track trails are free ride and are a challenge even to experienced riders you just have to know where to look.

Recommended Route:
from rock ports play ground go down the hill on the paved trail. Or if you are on the bike trail follow into rock port until you see the sign with the trail names. fallow the bigger trail across the bridge and to a trail on the left YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEE THE HILL FROM THE TRAIL. it is a single track bike trail follow this throwout the park when you come to a big trail (while on the single track) just continue on across it to find the continued trail this will go on a couple time after that. best place to mtb there

Other recommended trails in the same area:
any little trail off main path best one is the described one

Summary:
Yes this trail is a little boring, if you don't know where to look. There is some really tight singletrack that was cut last summer. It is off the main trail. It is not very long but it is real fun.

Recommended Route:
Take Rockport road right into the trail.

Summary:
Not a grueling trail by any means but it has a couple of short sections of singletrack that are not to bad. More of a scenic trail than anything else.

Recommended Route:
Afton Rd. trail head. Take a left on trail over the bridge and hit the large hill. Keep going left until you hit the singletrack.

Summary:
There's no trails in Janesville. Forget everything you've heard, forget everything you MAY have seen. There's nothing there. The biker sightings you may have heard about must have been commercial aircraft or the northern lights. There is no such thing as bikers in Janesville.

Recommended Route:
None...these trails don't exist. Forget what you heard, there's no trails.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
None...Janesville and Southern Wisconsin has nothing to offer for bikers so please stay away.

Sounds like you just don't like bikers. Southern Wisconsin has a good selection of trails especially Kettle Moraine.
