Summary:
"The River Trail" AKA the Milwaukee River Trail is not a legally open trail for MTBing. You cannot "build your own stuff" as it is about 70% County Park land and 30% private property. There have been legal, sanctioned events (Xterra) in the past on these trails.
Currently, there is an organized attempt to gather input from neighbors and users on the future of the corridor and which uses should be allowed and which should be prohibited. You can make a difference. Join the local IMBA/ WORBA club (www.MetroMountainBikers.com) and be heard.....
