Summary:
I cannot say enough about this trail. It is exactly what I was looking for. I am not a seasoned rider, so I do not have a ton of technical riding experience, but this ride was super challenging for me. There were a couple fun downhills, but mostly just technical, tight, scary, & flowing trails. Before this trail I would have never thought I coulda made it up most of them. Tons of props to the people who made this trail, I can tell it took A LOT of thought and effort.

Recommended Route:
Start on the Skills course to warm up. Then start the main trail at the bridge by the bathrooms. First section is technical, but not really flowing. This is followed by a short double track. Keep your eyes open for the brown MTB signs. This is followed by a fun, rolling downhill that you can really get some air off of if you are going fast enough (keep a finger on the rear brake though). After the downhills and a few somewhat hard uphills, you start into the technical pine area. This is the fun part & it seems like it never ends. Before this track I did not know what a "Fun Uphill" was. I thought that term was an oxymoron.
Words of advise: 1.) If you have a choice of a smaller/larger bike, bring the smaller one, there are some really tight uphill turns. 2.) If you are not comfortable with clip-on pedals, this is NOT the course to learn on. 3.) Don't pay to much attention to the posted maps, it does not include the new MTB trails. Hopefully this changes soon. 4.) If you are on double track for more than 1/4 mile or so, turn around, your missing the best part. 5.) Bring an extra pair of legs :-)

Summary:
This trail has grown alot in the past fer years thanks in part to the relationship between the local bike club(Lambo) and the DNR. There are several miles of new trail with tons if spider trails, all tight, twisty and technical. Also a skills course was completed in the fall of 09 with drops, balance beems, and teeter totters. Bring a helmet, our hosptol here is lousy!

Recommended Route:
Find the lake trail and watch for hikers, they are on our side!

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Hidden Lakes, Rock Lake Trail, my back yard!

Two miles of new single track. The Natural Selection downhill is insane. Check out the video of it at www.lamboriders.org or on youtube.

Summary:
Great little cluster of trails to ride. Some nice challenging climbs because of the loose terrain and water bars. Descents are very fun and fast. Scenery is good. Solitude.

Recommended Route:
Outer loop.

Summary:
not an incedible amount of vertical , but some fast strait downhill sections . climbing is a chore because of the loose sandy soil and waterbars . this combination will be a problem for people sporting mild xc tires . if you lack the stamina to give a little emergency power to clear every waterbar on the ascents you will become familiar with how this soil tastes . overall i like these trails , but the expert loops may not be ideal for lightweight xc rigs .

Recommended Route:
the expert loops are the only trails worth mention
