Quarry Park

Average Rating:    (4.36 of 5)

Tons of singletrack filled with bending roots, rocks of all sizes. Huge insane drops with all of the above. In the clearings the have built huge dirt jumps. Just about everything there has a name for it. (ex) Elevator shaft, rollercoaster, ect. Quarry Park is the hang out for all of the big time bikers in madison.

Summary:
Initial impression of the trails in madison... terrible. Suprised to say that. However, being from a big city, we travel 30 min to 1 hour to get to good riding areas.

My suggestion? Camrock / Camridge. It is 25 minutes from downtown Madison. Camrock Cafe ROCKED it for me. They had sweet 29ers for rent too so it made my vacation! Thanks Jeff n gang. Real helpful crew and what a beautiful little town, think Norman Rockwell built it. Let em know the motorcycle guy from Miami is how ya heard about it. Rubber side down!

Recommended Route:
None, this place is a deathtrap, no marked trails at all, very unsafe. I left after 30 min very disappointed

Summary:
Very fun trail, very technical trail it does take some experience to be able to enjoy it.There are some steep hills there, before you go down one make sure there is not a tree at the bottom waiting for you to crash into it and make sure it does not have blood stains. There I also found a giant banked turn so if you don't get your speed up that will be another fast way to go to the hospital. On the BMX/pump track there is a tree waiting for you in the 3rd banked turn also on the starting part of the BMX track there is a tree that splits the 2 lanes that I almost ran into.some of the trails there are pretty skinny.Do not bring a kid under 8-9 unless they know how to MTB.I found it easy even though I'm 11.The BMX track would be a great RC track, some time I will probably bring my Maxxis-ified Team Associated SC10.

Recommended Route:
BMX track.

Summary:
Nice and technical, small trees everywhere and rocks make it interesting and very fun.

This place is also loaded with exotic, invasive plant species. Clean your tires before riding elsewhere.

Summary:
Very cool, especially being in downtown madison. Cool singletrack on the outer rim. I've been there a few times and its definitely worth checking out. Not too technical but it is challenging in spots. Lots of jumps too.
