Cross Country Rider
, from Westby, Wisconsin Summary: O.K., unlike in the decription, its not really singletrack. More like doubletrack. Very technical climbing because of the rock and steepness. Its fun to blast down, but remember, its a hiking trail too! 540 foot vertical gain in 7.5/10ths of a mile! Mtn biking doesn't really get much tougher than this. Recommended Route: This is an access route to the Human Powered Trails on top of the bluff. This trail is so steep that if you hit a rock wrong you'll wheely. Other recommended trails in the same area: Lots of people can ride up this non-stop. Last year they had a race up and a guy made it in 7.5 minutes. takes me 16 minutes but I can do it clean.
