Riverview Park

The trail is only 3 miles, but do a few laps and you'll be feeling it. The first half takes many people off guard, with a sudden drop into the woods and you're on your way. Climbing and descending turns, off camber sections, and scenic views await you in this section. The second half starts out "slow" out in a prairie, but will still have some suprises for you. If you're in the area, check out the trails at Winter Park/DNR Besadny Land (seperate review).

Summary:
lots of surprises indeed, banked surface sometimes tough to pedal w/o caressing dirt. short but fun & a great workout. try to stay away on nice weekends b/c unfortunately ATV park right here & motorized trail intersects MTB trail a # of times. don't be discouraged by the ugly parking, w/ the usual rednex & the huge dump right there. once u hit trail, it only gets better.

Recommended Route:
29e of gb, cut thru 1 mi n to F, off to the dump

Other recommended trails in the same area:
winter park just south of above, baird crk, s terminus of ahnapee tr by casco jct, uw arboretum if still rideable
