Weekend Warrior Summary: Great little cluster of trails to ride. Some nice challenging climbs because of the loose terrain and water bars. Descents are very fun and fast. Scenery is good. Solitude. Recommended Route: Outer loop. Other recommended trails in the same area: Escanaba Lake Trail.

, from Northern IL Summary: not an incedible amount of vertical , but some fast strait downhill sections . climbing is a chore because of the loose sandy soil and waterbars . this combination will be a problem for people sporting mild xc tires . if you lack the stamina to give a little emergency power to clear every waterbar on the ascents you will become familiar with how this soil tastes . overall i like these trails , but the expert loops may not be ideal for lightweight xc rigs . Recommended Route: the expert loops are the only trails worth mention

Ridden Trail: Once a year

, from Appleton Summary: While camping at Clear Lake I discovered this trail while putting on some road miles. I first rode it at night (about midnight) and the wildlife was incredible. If you want a true Blair Witch type of experience, this is it. Now for the negatives: the trail has so many waterbars (one reviewer said over 100) and if that's not bad enough they are set at an angle! There are some nice climbs, but as soon as you hit a wet waterbar it's over. I rode it twice & I have no interest in doing it ever again. Way to go DNR for ruining a perfectly nice system! Recommended Route: Past Clear Lake campground to parking area.

, from janesville, wi Summary: Nice trail with some challenging hills but hardly the best expert trail in the state-- not even close. I was beginning to think the place was over-rated until we found the un-marked singletrack which was awesome. I enjoy riding in this area and i know I will return. Other recommended trails in the same area: Razorback, Escanaba, Lumberjack.
