Cross Country Rider Summary: Nice and technical, small trees everywhere and rocks make it interesting and very fun.
This place is also loaded with exotic, invasive plant species. Clean your tires before riding elsewhere. Recommended Route: Outer loop. Other recommended trails in the same area: kettle

Cross Country Rider Summary: I learned about this trail system after reading the trail reviews on mtbr. Yesterday was really the first day that I was able to ride 95% off all the trails. There's still a little snow on the ground. The trails that run east and west along the ridges are the most challenging. Sweeping turns with short, steep downhills and uphills. It's very important to maintain speed, especially if you're on a single speed (like me). Some of the trails are moderately technical. Rocks, roots, a few log rides, small table-tops, a few drops, all added sporadically throughout the trail system. It's not a very big network of trails but bigger than you'd expect. And, there's enough spider trails that you can always reroute yourself and make it more interesting. No doubt an excellent place to go for riders in Madison. Recommended Route: Take the outer trails along the ridges for a moderately technical, fun ride. Otherwise, follow the trails all over and explore. Other recommended trails in the same area: This is my first season riding in WI, but I've heard Blue Mounds and Kettle Moraine are two very popular destinations.

Weekend Warrior Summary: Everything you could possibly want, except for long x-c single tracks. Don't come here once, it takes a few rides to get a few lines down. Expect to bail out on some of the nasty drops/inclines that are technical and rocky. Where a helmet, trees hurt. Recommended Route: Just ride. Other recommended trails in the same area: Urban assault

Weekend Warrior Summary: I recommend this park to anyone new to the campus. If you want to expand your skills, or are getting bored of flat, blacktop trails, Quarry is for you. This place has taught me everything I know. From 90 degree drops, to table-top jumps, this place has it all. Wear a helmet and use flat pedals. It's more of a BMX style course, so being able to get off of your bike in a hurry is a plus. Recommended Route: What we call the "Playground". Jumps Galore.
