Devil's Head Ski Resort

It's a ski resort so expect plenty of ups and downs. Trails range from intermediate to expert...and expert really means expert here. Fast downhills (50+ mph if you're good enough)and technical single track make this one of the best mountain bike destinations in Wisconsin.

Summary:
Rode the downhill course at devils head during the WORS Subaru cup downhill.

Video and pictures are added to http://www.sicklines.com under courses if you want to see more info + trailmap this course.

The course is one of the best in the midwest and features alot of rocks and some really good skill building sections. The course had recieved rain and was pretty technical especially for the people who weren't familiar with mud riding. Its one of the best place to ride downhill at in the midwest.

Recommended Route:
See map

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Ohio (Mohican Wilderness) has three very good downhill courses as well.

I rode this one while home on leave and had a blast! Ghost Rock is worth all the pain of getting up top to get to it. Watch out for the briars on Deer Run; they hurt when going Warp Factor 9.

Recommended Route:
Any. Come ride this trail!

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Cam-Rock 3, SE of Madison was a pleasant distraction.

Summary:
Awsome! Great downhill runs and tuff uphill climb to get to the top. Best downhill runs I've done in the midwest. Closest thing to Colorado.

Summary:
Nobody else really on the trail every time I've come here. The trail was in rough shape after the race this year (must have been muddy). The map they give you really sucks, and I think the trail signs go the opposite way as the map shows. Anyways, this is still a great trail, lots of cardio and some technical singletrack. They added a few new areas, in the Ghost Rock area and a new downhill section called Deer Run... definitely take that back to the parking lot, just make sure you have decent brakes. Fee is $7 which is paid at the front desk, then backtrack to the parking lot. There is a bar/lounge at the lodge. Some really hot chicks work here... they looked lonely.

Recommended Route:
Start at the bunny hill and climb up to the top. At some point you can get off the ski trail and climb through some singletrack. Go over, come back down, go back up and over through some more singletrack until you get to Ghost Rock... some interesting stuff in there including log bridges and a teeter-totter.
