Summary:
long climb up middle ridge road. not for the weak lunged. Once you hit the top teaberry cuts off to right. very quick, smooth top section. turns into nice downhill section with a couple hairy switchbacks (have seen many wipe on this one). after rocky switchbacks there is a nice drop over a very rooty section. if you are courageous you can launch this section, but hold on if you lose your footing. nice solid downhill the rest of the way. top 5 favorite trails.

Recommended Route:
from the top down.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
black bear, mystery trail (to locals).

Summary:
This is one of my personal favorites in WV, it has it all. The top is ultra fast winding single track through the dense forest. The fun part begins as soon as you break right over the hill. It is all single track but there are a couple of very busy steep sections that take mucy technical facility to ride cleanly. This is broken up by a couple of tight switchbacks, some nice uphill rockcrossings and a fun little creek crossing if you go right at the bottom. In my opinion this is a worldclass trail that you cant go wrong with riding!!

Recommended Route:
Climb Middle Ridge road and you will see the sign.
