Ridden Trail: Every few months

, from Charleston, WV Summary: Nice trail, very remote, great views when the leaves are down. Nothing too technical, but definitely an advanced trail because of the climbing. The trail goes straight up 1500 feet in less than 2 miles. Whoever blazed these didn't believe in switchbacks. Best "real" mountain biking I've found in the area. Recommended Route: As described above. Or take Kate's Mountain Rd. out of White Sulphur. After about 5 miles of forest road climbing you'll see Rocky Ridge on your right. Descend into Greenbrier State Forest. Turn right on the park road at the bottom. Right on US 60 back into White Sulphur. Other recommended trails in the same area: Check out the Greenbrier River Trail if you want something easy.
