Multiple trails, some are also used for 4 wheelers so watch out for those.

Summary:
just rode this trail this morning, great system here. fast, rolling, well maintained. the downhills are gradual and quick, uphills are challenging and will keep your heart rate up but definitely doable regardless of bikes. we rode ss and really enjoyed the experience. the technical difficulty of these trails keep you on your toes but full suspension and riot gear definitely are not necessary. cheers to the guys who maintain these trails, they're doing a great job. dont let the summer pass without a trip to mountwood park!

Recommended Route:
ive no idea, met up with and followed some experienced locals.

Summary:
Hey folks, the trails are back open for riding any time of the week. It has taken several members of the River Valley Mountain Bike Association to get the down trees cleared from the trails, but I believe we have them all at this time and the trails are in great shape. While I was down with the separated shoulder I was able to get all the trails gps'd and a new map produced. You can save and print a copy off our website. A large 30X31 is in the case in the parking lot to view and the club hopes to have a brouchure type map with trail descriptions for vistors to pick up there at the display. Copy and paste this link to the RVMBA website and enjoy the ride.

Recommended Route:
9.5 mile loop: Copperhead, Rat Snake, short blacktop ride around end of lake, Techumseh, Medicine Man, Lake trail across the dam, keep going part way around the lake when lake trail takes a hard left into the woods along the lake, go straight up the hill across the power lines on Four Corners trail, at Four Corners take gravel path (Walter Taitt Trail) to the right, go nearly 1/2 mile and watch for Mansion Trail sign on your left. Go left onto Mansion Trial and it will go left at a right of way (wide grassy path with singletrack in middle).
At the next intersection with a trail on left, go right, at the next intersection after a short fast downhill, fade right onto Hunters Roost, Follow till you cross power line again, after power line take left down steep spot and left at bottom. Follow to next intersection and go right on Haystack. At the end of Haystack pass Collar Bone and stay right (see gravel path again) and ride down to blacktop road and take right. Go to parking lot. If you want more just go up Copperhead again except to right in 2/10th mile, staying on Copperhead and ride to hearts content.

Summary:
Heads up ! If you are thinking or riding at Mountwood
between November 1st and December 31st 2007, please note
that all trails have been closed to Hikers and Bikers
Monday through Saturdays for some sort of controlled deer
hunt. Hiking and Biking will be permitted ONLY on Sundays
when hunting is illegal. Hopefully this is a one time thing
and it will not occur next year. They originally closed the
trails during the entire time period till some calls were
made and the Park President advised Sundays would be allowed.

Recommended Route:
All the trails are great, the River Valley Mountain Bike Association
has seen to it for the past several years that these trails are
maintained properly. If you enjoyed the trails please let the Park
know you did and thank the RVMBA for thier efforts. Thanks

Summary:
Where to start, all the trails are good. The trail are always kept up. The only thing I would change is better trail markers. You can be having a great ride going and have to stop to check a map. All it would take is a marker with the trail name on it insead of an arrow. Most trail forks aren't marked at all.

Recommended Route:
Collarbone cutoff to log jam to haystacks. I love riding Haystacks from the top down. Make sure you have good breaks, hold on and don't fall off the bridges.

Summary:
My son and I rode some of the trails on the 16th and again today. The weather was great today, 60 degrees, and the trails are in great shape since the weather has been so mild. I have placed a few pics of different features and views of the trails on here. Also if you would like the newest trail map click the following link http://www.outdoortravels.com/files/wv_map_mountwood_trails5.jpg
Stop by and enjoy....

Recommended Route:
Right now, Copperhead to the NEW section, Trip to the Moon and Apollo 13 were all solid with no top layer mud. On the 16th we rode Tecumseh, Medicine Man, Lake trail to Four Corners. Tecumseh and Medicine Man were a bit slimmy in spots but easily ridable.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Check out all the trails at Mountwood.
