Weekend Warrior Summary: Notice no one has posted a review on these trials for some time. My Son and I rode there 2 weeks ago and loved it. There are a few technical places however most of the trails run around the side of the hill (as we call them) or mountain as some may refer. Didn't look like many folks have been riding the trails with all the sticks and some debre on them. However they were great fun. You can ride all the trails in a short time so it is not an all day thing unless you do a second time around or turn around and ride them in reverse. That was fun. Recommended Route: Get the map at www.appalachianclassic.com and ride the race course. Shaffers Loop is lots of fun. Other recommended trails in the same area: Mountwood Park near Parkersburg, Charles Fork Lake at Spencer, Kanawha State Forest near Charleston and go east to the mountains and too many trails to list.

, from Charleston, WV Summary: This year's race course for the WVMBA, had a diversion for "Power Slyde," a nice downhill. I think the alternate path had more obstacles, and was a lot slower, but not nearly as steep Recommended Route: I only have done the race loop

, from ches va Summary: I consider myself a skilled MTB rider, but i have been in VA too long. I rode the park this morning and it kicked my butt. I have mucho battle scars to prove it. I raced at Poor Farm Park last week in the Atlantic racing series and didnt use half of the technical skills that you need to safely navigate this awesome trail. Come to the race next summer and see one of the best events on the east coast!! Recommended Route: follow the App-Class route Other recommended trails in the same area: There are awesome trails in Calhoun Co. but you better know where you are going and where not to go!!! Hook up with a local rider and try to keep up !!!

, from WV Summary: very technical - great single track & well maintained. There are also trails for beginners. On a dry day, the 7 1/2 mile loop could possible only take 40 minutes - but only if you're good! On a wet day, well, watch out! Recommended Route: Bret's right - go to the barn & hit the trails! Other recommended trails in the same area: You NORBA circuit guys should hit our race - the Appalachian Classic - way more fun than Snowshoe, and the weekend before the NORBA at Snowshoe.
