Ridden Trail: Ridden Once

, from Issaquah WA Summary: This trail is a fun little ride with banked turns, rolling hills, and has good rythm. However, there were some parts of the trail with obstructions but could easily be avoidable. The trailhead is also very easy to find. I am an intermediate rider and felt very comfortable on it, and I'm sure experienced kids would have no problem with it either. I would definately do this trail again if I was in the area, but probably wouldn't drive out from Seattle to do it. Other recommended trails in the same area: Mad River

Ridden Trail: Once a year

, from Edmonds Summary: This trail has been rated way too high. This is a beginner to intermediate trail through the woods with some short steep climbs. It roughly follows the Chiwawa road and there are a number of places to bail. It is in the trees most of the way so there is not much chance to enjoy the scenery. The motorcycles use this trail heavily on weekends to link various trail networks together. As stated, its dusty, humid, and has mass (and massive) misquitos from spring through fall. Its an OK trail to get some exercise on. Recommended Route: From Goose Creek up, or from Chikimin down. Other recommended trails in the same area: Mad Lake, Chikimin, Minnow Ridge, the snow park.

Ridden Trail: Every few months

, from Seattle, Wa. Summary: The chiwawa trail is pretty good, but the chikamin creek trail is much better! hook both up for a loop and you have a really nice ride. Comparable to devils gulch but a lott less traffic. And Cinder block descents! Beware of dust in the late summer and bring mosquito repellant in the spring/early summer. Recommended Route: First, be warned that the name of one of the roads in this area has changed for clarity. I think the zilly and kirkendahl books call it "chiwawa loop road" and now one end of the loop road has been changed to "happy valley road" or something like that. There's till other signs that will lead you to the trail head- just pay attention and don't go by street names alone. Once you find the trailhead, climb up the chiwawa river trail until you reach the road. Take a right and continue climbing 2-3 mles up the road until you see the chikamin creek trailhead on your right. drop down the chikamin creek trail and take a left at the first intersection with the bridge on your right. the trail rolls nicely for a few miles, very scenic, then follows a ridgline downhill down and to the right. this is the highlight of the entire ride! at the bottom of this, watch for a signed intersection with a right turn that will take you back to your car at the bottom of the chiwawa trail.

, from Tacoma, Wa. USA Summary: Fun singletrack trail that parallels the paved road with twists and turns that are banked. Do early in season or after a rain as it can get dusty. Best before July 15 when this trail provides access for motorbikes to Alpine Trails that open up July 15 or shortly after that. In 2000 this trail was in great shape 4th of July week. Recommended Route: From Goose Creek Campground to the end, which is a trail junction. Other recommended trails in the same area: Upper Mad River Trail # 1409

, from Seattle Summary: This area has endless trails. Much more than nine miles. I have ridden on 6 hour rides here, and 1 hour rides. Trails are best in the morning because the dirt loosens up in the afternoon and there is more ORV traffic. If you want rolling, fast, banked corner riding, this is the place. Recommended Route: Start at Chikamin Creak trail head. Ride about 3 miles up logging road, then drop down a 20 minute downhill. Stay on Chawawa trail that follows road. Then double back or ride the road.
