Trail Directions
From Kingston ferry terminal (edmunds-kingston ferry): go inland on highway. Go through the town of kingston. Go past the albertsons (2 miles outside of kingston) and continue straight inland on the highway. 2-3 miles past the albertsons you will reach a texaco gas station, at this point you leave the highway and go onto BOND ROAD, do this by going straight through the three-way intsersection at the texaco. Follow bond road 1-2 miles. At bottom of big hill take stottlemeyer (spelling?) the the right, it runs dignolly parallel to bond road and is the 2nd or 3rd road on the left, you will know its stottlemeyer because its roughly parallel to bond rd. and going uphill, its on the right and from bond you can see up it for quite a ways, also its intersection with bond does not have a traffic light as of 2002. go 1 mile up stottlemeyer at which point you will reach a right hand turn with a smoll durt parking lot-thing on the left. park there. ride another 100 feet up the road, on your right will be a fire-road, take that phll and then follow the singletracks that branch off to the right. Do my directions confuse you? If you want a riding buddy feel free to email me.

Summary:
Was visiting poulsbo and decided to see if there was anything good to ride in the area. I didn't get to ride a bunch, but there's a lot of cool single-track in the area. not quite as technical as I would have liked, with the exception of one small run where there's a couple of smaller drops.

I bet it'd be more fun if I had more time to explore, but we had a ferry to catch.

Summary:
What the heck is the guy saying 1-4 miles. there is atleast 15. You can go allthe way to porttownsnd from here. there are an asortmaent of trails out there. there is a new trail that some people are trying to make that starts out with a 4 foot drop into a gap then a bridge. you can find anything you want out there if you just look hard enough. back in the woods there is some prety good trails.

Recommended Route:
if you go onto the jeep trail in the begining. you take the second left and go up that trail there should be a little drop. take a left when u get to another jeep trail. take that when u come to a y with 2 jeep trails take a right. keep folowing that trail out till u come two another y with 2 jeep trails right before a hill.take a left. then take the first trail on the left. when there is a y take a right then take another right keep following that trail till u come to a flag at the top or i think the first left. this trail is awesome. it is the hard one i described earlier.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
green mountain, pope-n-talibit, raab park downhill,

Summary:
I am pretty beginnerish and my riding partner is advanced but we both have a great time on these trails. There are lots of areas to explore. In the last few months there have been new single tracks broken through between the service roads. If you want to get a good work out there are ample uphill service roads to do this. If you head north in using the roads and tracks you can go all the way to Port Gamble (doesn't take that long, maybe an hour).

Recommended Route:
Just explore. There's a variety of skill levels here, lots of fun, though nothing super advanced.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Banner Forest has mostly beg.-int. trails with a lot of woo-hoos.

Reviewed by: Big Red , from Poulsbo, WA

Summary:
If you live in poulsbo, this is a great evening or afternoon ride. Its not something you plan to spend a whole day outing on. The trail is probably 7 miles. I have never brought an odometer, but I will do that one of these days. The most you will need as far as water goes, is a water bottle. I only bring my camelback to carry tools and my helmet cam. This is a great ride for beginners, however expert riders can have fun here. Its just a great ride. IF you are coming from out of town, ride green mountain one day, and Stodalmeyer the next as a fun cool down fide. Great night ride. If you need to directions, go to Silverdale Cyclery (360-692-5508). Anyone there can help you, we even have maps, but it does not include the singletrack. Ask Nudleman, Burkey, or Jeff.

Recommended Route:
Start at gate, ride up two hills. Take a right onto some wannabe single track. Ride until you come to a y in the trail (you should see some bike obstacles) take a left at the y. The first bit of single track will be on the left. Once on the single track you will come to a part that is scotch broom. Begin looking to turn right into some trees. It will come out to a T, at which point you will take a right. This comes out on a road, the trail continues on the other side about 80 feet, and comes to another road. Take a left. On the right will be a trail through some clear-cut (cant miss it) This trail comes to a freshly graveled road. You can either go right, left or straight. Go straight. Follow the gravel road until the first left, where you will see the rest of the trail through the clear cut, it will then meet up with singletrack through the woods. And, come out at another logging road. Take a right. Ride a little ways and look for a trail on the right. This will be the first down hill. You will come out and have to take a right down a road. When you come to a T go right and head up hill. Keep going uphill until the road takes a major right turn. There will be a trail on the right, right on the turn. More downhill. Come to a road, go right, up hill. The next trail will be on the left, when the hill flattens out. You can follow this trail back to the car, two ways. When you get on this trail there will be an option to turn right, right after a small downhill. The trail to the right is more technical. Make sure that when you come out on a paved section that you take a right to the car.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Green Mountain, Banner Forest, NK nature trail is a fun 3 minute ride, for those of you who live in Poulsbo

Summary:
This place is fun for an allday ride for all skill levels to ride. I don't know what the hell Tom is saying, 1-4 mi.! There is at least triple that in singletrack if you stick to the old fire roads , but the log ride park was basically torn out so the free-riding there sucks now. Great xc day rides and one or two dh runs that are intermediates, i'd say.

Recommended Route:
from hwy.305 take Lincoln rd. To Stottlemeyer. Turn on Stottlemeyer to end up1-2 miles past bird electric. You will come to an area with a small parking lot. Park there and enter through either the main gate(down the Hill) or the trail.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Green Mtn.
