Cross Country Rider Summary: Just tried this one out for the first time last night. I agree that this trail is perfect for an afterwork quicky. Climb is challenging but not a killer, downhill is hairy and fast with sketchy obsticles that seem to come out of nowhere. Definitely one I would like to do more so I can get a better feel for it- some fun banked turns that if you get into the rhythem you can shred down at near full speed. Top part is a boulder field that chewed up my 4' bike, but looked easy for my buddy on a vp free with monster tires. Go fast and ignore the boulders, 9/10 times that works out : ) Recommended Route: Out and back, didn't try the side trails.

Cross Country Rider Summary: A rocky loose trail. It is a nice ride for after work but is not my idea of a great cross country trail. It is a quasi downhill trail with lots of rock fields and loose dirt. It appears the motocross guys have torn it up a bit. Too bad! If you ride a hardtail avoid it. It is rough. The area has been HAMMERED by foresting. Again, a good after work ride. Recommended Route: Out and back is my recommendation if you are a cross country rider. Shuttle to top would be great for a downhill rider. Avoid top section if you are on a short travel cross country bike. Again, avoid it on a hardtail. Other recommended trails in the same area: Siouxin, Tarbell, Grouse,

Downhiller Summary: Who's being malicious, I think all uf us freeriders need to band together because people that complain about trails often destroy them. People need to go around obstacles or build different lines untill they can learn to handle more difficult things. All trails can be fun if we can understand this concept. That's my point Recommended Route: you're molestation comment is just wrong, you're just another sick minded person that the rest of us try to keep ourselves and our kids AWAY from Other recommended trails in the same area: If you can find it, enjoy it. If you don't like it, you don't have to ride it. Others have put alot of work into it, so respect it, or we will go secret 7 on you!

, from vancouver Summary: This is steve-o (not the guy from Jackass, just a guy who 'is' a jackass). Me and my secret society of 7 losers love to play cowboys & indians by the Walmart in vancouver. Come join us as we are severly lonely and have nothing better to do than waste space on MTBR being malicious in our postings. Seriously though, Larch Mtn is a great ride. Your climb is rewarded by some excellent downhill and enough obstacles to keep you on your toes. It's worth the drive if you are coming from anywhere outside Vancouver/Brush Prairie. Stick to the main roads as all the back FS roads are currently closed for maintenance. Don't let tools like steve-ho and the 7 dwarfs ruin it for you. He's the reason that Vancouver schools have some of the lowest graduation rates in the state. Recommended Route: between the pockmarked hills and down into the dark hole (my dad enjoys this route) Other recommended trails in the same area: Tarbell but stay away from 7 guys dressed like pocahontas and/or the lone ranger.
