Ridden Trail: Every few months

Downhiller Summary: This was a pretty fun ride, though it took me a little while to actually get my bearings here. You start with a pretty steep hike a bike to get up to the plateau where all the trails are. Once there, even with a map, you're likely to get lost riding around the first few time. The trails are a huge mix of twisting, rolling singletrack, with new trails crossing and branching off every few minutes. I was able to go in the morning, so it was pretty easy to tell by the sun which way was East and sort of keep my bearings.
There's a few short climbs and downhills, but most of it is fairly flat. Most of the trails are winding in and out of trees, and over roots and deadfall. Best part is the ride back down to the car too :) Recommended Route: None that I could recommend. I'm usually not the type of person who likes to say "just go and get yourself lost", but really that's going to happen here anyway :) The place isn't gigantic, and riding any of the doubletrack you're sure to run across will eventually get you back to the main intersection and the route back down to the parking lot. BBTC Wiki has a map that was helpful too. Other recommended trails in the same area: Tiger Mountain is not too far away, and much more technical. Miles of downhill trails, though there is a 4 mile hike a bike to the top first too.

Cross Country Rider Summary: Tolt-MacDonald is a confusing series of trails that will tend to get you lost with every switchback. The key to Tolt is to ride fast and explore everything. The scenery is breath taking from the view point and it feels very isolated in the woods.Trails are well thought and vary from fast to tree strewn and technical. It is a favorite of mine and the trails I would consider home.If you enjoy great single track without a lot of climbing,I guarantee you will like Tolt. Recommended Route: http://backcountry.unicyclist.com/UNICON/Tolt/ToltMacDonald.html Try this site for the best maps that I have found and some great info. The route that I take to get to Tolt is to get on Tolt Hill Road from route 203 and head west to 294th ave se and turn right.Follow that to a cul-de-sac and park.I have never had a problem parking here and the gravel road is county.(You can also park at the park as described in the web page above, but this way keeps you from having to climb Its-A- B!tch.)Begin riding up the gravel road for about a 1/4 mile and you will see a trail straight ahead.Follow that into the woods.Pass the first trail on the left and take the second left. You should come to top of a fire road and just start exploring. It is easy to get lost so mark a waypoint and remember you are at the southwest corner of the park.Enjoy the great singletrack and give yourself plenty of time. Also check out the BBTC site as they do a ride up here every Tuesday and they have some good info as well. Other recommended trails in the same area: Tokul!Soaring Eagle(Beaver Lake,The Beav,Section 36,Whatever).Cherry Valley.

Weekend Warrior Summary: So I've only been to Tolt once for three hours, but I'm surprised by the low overall rating, and the last review written here is pretty outdated.
There are a lot of trails up there, tons of cool singletrack. Most of the single track is tight, rolling, and moderately technical. The jeep roads make good landmarks and if you are so inclined you can tear ass on them. I still managed to lose my sense of direction and spent the majority of my time there lost. I recommend bringing a compass. Recommended Route: Just do the big climb up and ride.

Downhiller Summary: Here's a little taster of what the Tolt has to offer. I had ridden the Tolt about 10 times and done my best to explore when we came across this previously unknown section of some of the best trails I have ever ridden there.
http://vaultedsky.org/images/Recent_12_9_after/Nate.MOV Recommended Route: From the 4 way at the top of the climb go left and stay on the main road. About 3/4 of mile later start looking left until you see another less cleared fire road. Take this left. Immediately start looking right and enter the forest on the first obvious trail. Explore for hours. Other recommended trails in the same area: Tiger Mountain. Middle Fork rides.

Downhiller Summary: The 5 way intersection road is being upgraded by a developer for some type of usage. At the top of the hill heading right from the 5 way there have already been portions of the trail that have been destroyed. The former doubletrack heading left is now a 2 car wide dirt highway complete with trucks and tractors. Anyone have any idea as to what the hell is going on with the Tolt McDonald tree farm?
