Oakton Cross County Trail (CCT)

Just discovered it tonight. It's fresh and beautiful. Follows Difficult Run but climbs up and down some good sized hills. Needs some log maintenance. This is horse country so beware and be respectful of horses - dismount. This portion of the CCT may be some of the best for mountain bikes.

Summary:
The CCT offers a lot of singletrack riding relative to Northern VA. Its most remarkable feature is that it connects so many other trail systems together (accotink & wakefield at it's southern end, Fox mill in the middle and Lake Fairfax, Dificult run at the northern end.) I give it 4 stars because of this!

Recommended Route:
Over three years in the making, this trail is a collection of singletrack and some toepaths that stretches from occoquan to great falls across Fairfax County (hence the name: Cross-County trail)

Other recommended trails in the same area:
the ones i've mentioned, plus fountainhead
