Summary:
There are a lot of great singletrack trails, some nice long rolling downhills, creek crossings and challenging rooty uphill/downhill sections. There is a doubletrack trail (Eastern Equestrian Trail) that runs somewhat parallel to the River Bluff trail on higher ground, with some nice downhills sections leading down to the River Bluff Trail. I live 5 minutes away, so I ride out here probably once a week. There are so many combinations of trails here, that you can really switch up the ride all the time, so it does not get old. Some of the trails are shared with horses, so it is a courtesy to yield to them (so they don't freak out). I would be great to see more riders out here. Ride out here, learn the trails and you will enjoy it. Also, I saw CAMBC recently became involved out here.

Recommended Route:
The River Bluff Trail, which primarily runs parallel to the Rivanna River on the bluff, is probably the most challenging, with some nice uphill/downhill, roots and some technical sections.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Walnut Creek

Summary:
you can bring the dogs, this is also a horse trail, so bikes must yeild to them i think... there is an old abandoned house and mile markers every .2 miles. I have been riding it since it opened in 01'. Couple creek crossings, very selcluded. nice.

Recommended Route:
start at trail head at the begining of route 53, and go the 3 mile and take some loops and go back. 6 mi +
