Weekend Warrior Summary: This is the trail I ride the most because it is the closest decent singletrack in the area. Has some pretty good variety in obstacles and whatnot. Log piles, ditches, little bridges, short steep uphills, downhills, and tons of roots can be found on the trail. Really not too dificult to navigate after you get going and should not be a problem at all to an experienced rider. As said above, don't plan on spending a day there as you can navigate just about all the trails in less than a hour. Great place to start someone who wants to learn. Recommended Route: I always park at the 3rd battle parking lot, but it is quicker to get to the singletrack by parking at millbrook high school. Other recommended trails in the same area: Passage Creek (Elizabeth's furnace) is good, but much of it is hike/bike because of the giant boulder-stridden climb.

Cross Country Rider Summary: It's nice to have somewhere close by to ride. It's only a four mile ride from my house, quicker to get to for an after-work ride than the Furnace or elsewhere. Decent beginner to intermediate level singletrack. Can hammer around at a pretty good pace. Some log piles and a few fallen logs you can ride on, but no rock gardens or anything super technical. You can ride all the trails back and forth a time or two in less than an hour.
As for the broken glass mentioned by the previous poster, there is a lot of it in some spots, but I think the glass has been there for decades and just continues to surface. I tried to rake one spot clear of glass and I just kept digging up more and more of it.
All in all a nice place for a quick ride in the woods. If you're looking for real adventure, you'll need to travel down to the furnace area or elsewhere. Recommended Route: Quickest access to the singletrack is by parking behind Millbrook High School and entering the red trails. Other recommended trails in the same area: Elizabeth Furnace, Vance's Cove, Cacapon.

Weekend Warrior Summary: I agree w/ the previous reviewer's comments. This is the closest trail to us so we rode it two or three times a week for a few weeks, now we're exploring other places. You can either go all gravel fireroad type of riding or take the red and orange trails for some windy singletrack with easy, short ups/downs. There are a few log ramps, nothing impassable. WATCH OUT FOR BROKEN GLASS - someone is obviously doing it on purpose as it is fresh every time we go and in the middle of the trail in several places.

Weekend Warrior Summary: Good trail that is a great spot to get introduced to riding. You can be introduced to some singletrack or stick to the self guided tour of the battlefield.
Great place to get a good workout in or a quick ride.
Don't expect to spend all day here as you can get through pretty quick.
You can also park at Millbrook HS. A trail entrance is up on the hill behind the parking lot next to the practice football field. Recommended Route: All of them, they all feed back into the main trail. Some short but nice downhills that lead into some short but tough climbs.
