Not super technical, 5.5 mile loop with short steep climbs, 99% singletrack
From US 220 South, turn left on rte. 619, go about 4 miles to the park on the right. Bear to the left when entering the park towards the LARGE picnic shelter. The Trailhead is just past the start of the gravel road to the shelter.
Summary: This is by far the worst trail system I have ever ridden. 2 words: TRAIL MAINTENCE!!!! There just plain isn't any! It is obvious that these trails are hardly ever ridden and never taken care of. Some areas seem beyond repair. Seems like its been years since anyone went out and cleaned things up. THICK MUD, logs, trees, leaves, roots, rocks-everything you can think of is in the way and make the trail impossible to ride. If there continues to be no trail upkeep, most of the trails will be unrideable. Go to Wade park on the other side of Rocky Mount!

Ridden Trail: Once a month

Summary: This is the original Franklin Co. MTB trail. It's been around since 1991 or 1992. It has no long climbs, but several short and very steep ones. It's clay-based, so riding in the wet is slick and the mud sticks like glue to your bike. If ridden fast, it's a killer workout, but noodling along is good too. It's almost all single track, which is nice. Rank beginners will find it difficult, but some of the most challenging parts can be bypassed. It is well marked with wooden signs. Since this is a county park, there are restrooms and potable water. Sometimes two races a year are held on this course.
