Ridden Trail: Every few months

Weekend Warrior Summary: There are several trails in this area. Most of the inside trails are flat and muddy and boring. The best trail is the outer loop. It's all rollers with only several flat areas which are great to pick up speed and hit the rollers, even jump a few. It's a great workout if you keep your speed up, and stay off your seat. I grew up around here and rode this on my BMX all the time. The main loop hasn't changed much in years but I never ventured much into the interior, and don't really want to. It's worth a ride if you can find the loop. Recommended Route: If you park at the first turn in past the schools as described on here, don't enter the woods here. Instead, take the paved path down Dam Neck ~1/2 mile and enter where the woods stop and the big ditch begins. Head north along the outside of the tree line and hop the log and you'll see the path. It skirts the edge of the woods all the way around (clockwise) until you get near Harpers Square Apts on Harpers road. If you cross the big ditch there you can take a right and parallel the ditch and get to a few more trails, but most have been torn up by 4x4's. Best to turn around at the ditch?, or explore at your own risk. Check out Google maps and you can kinda see the trail through the trees. Have fun. Other recommended trails in the same area: Not much like this around. Ipswich, I suppose, otherwise head to the Peninsula.

Weekend Warrior Summary: This trail is the best trail in Va Beach, it's not much but fun to hit for a quick ride. It has been used allot by 4-wheelers which has put allot of ruts, but it makes you have to pay attention to the trail. The trail ends after about 1.8 miles into the ride so you have to turn around and back track. There are two trails that run side by side most of the way; the upper trail has more rolling hills which makes it more challenging. The trail is good for beginners or if you don't feel like driving to the peninsula. Recommended Route: Drive into the trail and stay left until the trail ends by a subdivision. Then turnaround and follow the trail back. It's about 3.5 miles round trip.

, from Norfolk Summary: I think that the wetter the better i love the mud. i moved her 2 years a go for m NJ. and this is the best local trail that i have found . ( which is not saying much) At least when wet it is a little more of a challenge. I if you are not in to dirt then get a street bike. I give this trial a 3 only becuase I don't have to drive a hour to get to get. Other recommended trails in the same area: Waller Mills; Ipswitch; Nike Park; Harwood mills;

, from Virginia Beach, VA. Summary: This trail has been obviously 4wheeled on... completely destroyed for the first hundred yards. I was discouraged by solid mud and standing water over the entire trail. It hasn't rained in 3 days. Rear sections of this trail may exist but from what I saw it is gone. Plus there are multiple no trespassing signs and parking at the entrance screams "Hey, I'm Trespassing". If we get a drought i will explore and see if something still exists. Recommended Route: Drive right past the trail and head over to Ipswitch. Other recommended trails in the same area: Ipswitch
