Right now the trails are under construction. M.O.R.E. is working with the Virginia Department of Forestry to get new trails opened up for us. There are some existing trails there to ride now so please help us help you and get out there to ride.
For those of you who know the stigma of this park please don't let it stop you. If we get enough riders out there we can give this new meca a positive image.
Also, please do not blaze your own trails, let M.O.R.E. do all the trail building. We want to be able to use this land for a long time. Thanks.
Summary: The trail was nice but it was definitly wet. I went today and it has been a few days since it has rained and the end of the trail should have been labeled as swamp land. I can see that if it were dry then it would be a great trail.
Recommended Route: We chose to follow the blue route but I plan to try another route next time I go.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Fountain Head Park

Summary: I love this park and hit it every weekend or so. Its fun and can be as challenging as you want to make it. Its more challanging in bad weather. I have never seen any perverts on the trail, but I have seen them in the parking lot on nearly every visit. They are easy to spot. They always back in and just watch the road, or they just cruise through. I usually just ignore them or sometimes just look at them and shake my head. One idiot just stared at me, so I took a picture of his truck with my cell phone, he booked out of there in a hurry.
Recommended Route: Hit it in every direction. I usually head straight down the main trail and veer off to the right and just follow the flow. Hitting the trail in the oposite direction is a little harder and mixes things up a bit.

Summary: We went here for the first time last week. I'm not an experienced rider, but I really liked this trail--gives me lots of oppurtunity to practice my skills. Did not see any "weirdos" hanging around and to be honest, they probably aren't interested in a female mt. biker anyways. That type is too cowardly to stick around with Mt bikers there. I live close by, so it is great.

Summary: Flat, rocky, and tight. Pick your lines keep pedaling, and it can be really fun.
Recommended Route: Take the blue trail, go clock wise, from the blue, hit the orange trail which consist of short climbs, with lots of rocks thrown in the mix. Once you pop out of the orange trail, you will connect back on the blue trail and complete the loop. Loops can be done in either direction, clock wise is best because the first part of the blue trail is a false flat that points slightly downward. There is a cool ass log ramp that is smooth and will kick you 2.5 to 3 feet in the air, into a nice rock garden into some flat tight turns, if you can keep your fingers off the brakes, it is really fun, not too much fun if you go the other direction and have to climb it though.

Summary: I'm fairly new to the area, and was not aware of the "stigma"
when I checked the place out. I've ridden there a few times lately and have only seen a photographer, a horse, and lots and lots of deer. The trails look like they're getting a lot of use, so a lot of people other than pervs must be using it. I think it gets a bad rap. It's a nice little park to ride in, and the rocky hill trail is a lot of fun. Not worth a long drive, but it's close to me and good for a quick workout. I say get out there and ride it! Get enough bike traffic and the pervs will have to go somewhere else.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Wakefield. Fountainhead.
