Cross Country Rider Summary: This is a former ordnance disposal site and is closes to public. There are not trespassing signs everywhere. I went in to check it out and all I can say is ticks, ticks, ticks. There are no ridable trails in the area I was able to locate. All of the roads are overgrown with weeds. Do not waste you time here you will not be happy after the hour it will take you getting all of the ticks off. Recommended Route: None Other recommended trails in the same area: None

, from Portsmouth Summary: Here's the deal: I've been trying to revive this trail that once existed. The land is an old Ordnance Depot (Nansemond Ordnance depot, to be exact) so there are delapidated buildings and all kinds of stuff back there... but nobody is in any hurry to build or even check what's going on back there. I have never had anybody say anything to me for going back there, people are always fishing back there anyway. There aren't very many jumps or drops or anything yet (yet!) but the trail is getting better and longer... Recommended Route: Go through the fence, trail is on the right after the first paved right. Other recommended trails in the same area: Newport News park is... o.k....
