Hikers, bikers, equestrians combined can go on the trails. Offroad trails come off of fire roads that come off state roads. Hilly, but not steep hills.

Summary:
this is not a technical trail system but it is fun for a days ride ,,, i like to go on the cabell trail to the branch trail to the running creek trail to the river trail and back .. the james river is right there for fishing or camping etc ... nice park

Recommended Route:
i start down at the parking area below the rangers station and ride up the cabell trail ... its a nontechnical uphill to start but i still like this way around

Ridden Once

Reviewed by: Chad , from Virginia

Summary:
Good downhills and not too bad uphills. nice facilities like the bathrooms are really peachy. Also many picnic areas and campsites. It's only like $2 a day or something like that.

Recommended Route:
all of them except for the state maintained roads because they're paved and that's for pansies.
