Cross Country Rider Summary: tough trail but the view is well worth the struggle. If you downhillers can make it to the top there is a 2 mile eastern trail that's easy to roll..

, from swoope,va Summary: Man this is one kick-ass trail!!!! You'all better ride this! There is a lot of technical shit in the rocks so have fun. Unfortunetly i didnt make it all the way to the top beacause i had to work.I got pretty close so if you dont like biking uphill for miles don't take this trail its not for you. Overall this was an awesome trail. Recommended Route: oh by the way you go on south 42 instead of north. Other recommended trails in the same area: If you want to go on the fire road below this trail its kinda a good way to work yourself up to the climb.

Ridden Trail: Ridden Once

, from va,swoope Summary: I havnt ridden this trail yet because of bad directions but i will ride it tommorow and keep you all posted. Recommended Route: first of all you made a mistake when you said to take route 668. It is really route 688 just so no one gets lost. Second of all the discription of the trail head is rather misguided. Before you get to the trail head there is another gate that fits the discription of the trail head. SO make sure you go up far enough. You will see a trail marker that does not mark the north mountain trail but thats ok. You just have to go to the left through the gate and you will be on north mountain trail. Other recommended trails in the same area: The wrong trail that i took was just a fire road so watch out and make sure you go on the right trail.
