Right now the trails are under construction. M.O.R.E. is working with the Virginia Department of Forestry to get new trails opened up for us. There are some existing trails there to ride now so please help us help you and get out there to ride.
For those of you who know the stigma of this park please don't let it stop you. If we get enough riders out there we can give this new meca a positive image.
Also, please do not blaze your own trails, let M.O.R.E. do all the trail building. We want to be able to use this land for a long time. Thanks.
Summary: We went here for the first time last week. I'm not an experienced rider, but I really liked this trail--gives me lots of oppurtunity to practice my skills. Did not see any "weirdos" hanging around and to be honest, they probably aren't interested in a female mt. biker anyways. That type is too cowardly to stick around with Mt bikers there. I live close by, so it is great.

Summary: Flat, rocky, and tight. Pick your lines keep pedaling, and it can be really fun.
Recommended Route: Take the blue trail, go clock wise, from the blue, hit the orange trail which consist of short climbs, with lots of rocks thrown in the mix. Once you pop out of the orange trail, you will connect back on the blue trail and complete the loop. Loops can be done in either direction, clock wise is best because the first part of the blue trail is a false flat that points slightly downward. There is a cool ass log ramp that is smooth and will kick you 2.5 to 3 feet in the air, into a nice rock garden into some flat tight turns, if you can keep your fingers off the brakes, it is really fun, not too much fun if you go the other direction and have to climb it though.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Whitney State park, Fountain Head, Wakefield, Lake Accotink, Elizabeth Furnace.

Summary: I'm fairly new to the area, and was not aware of the "stigma"
when I checked the place out. I've ridden there a few times lately and have only seen a photographer, a horse, and lots and lots of deer. The trails look like they're getting a lot of use, so a lot of people other than pervs must be using it. I think it gets a bad rap. It's a nice little park to ride in, and the rocky hill trail is a lot of fun. Not worth a long drive, but it's close to me and good for a quick workout. I say get out there and ride it! Get enough bike traffic and the pervs will have to go somewhere else.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Wakefield. Fountainhead.

Summary: I wish I could say that I have actually ridden this trail, so that I could write a review (I really do), but both times I have stopped by there on my way home from work I lost interest as soon as I pulled into the parking lot.
The proximity of this trail system to a major interstate makes it too easy for men to stop in and do what they seem to be doing. Really is a shame.
A few weeks ago I sat in the lot with my bike on top of the car and watched what was going on (well not actually watched). Construction type men hanging around, men in casual business attire walking into the woods, none dressed to go walking, bird watching, hiking or horseback riding.
I know I know, I shouldn't let them keep me from riding my bike there....the truth is I really didn't want to. I wonder how many other people don't feel like walking their dog or going for a bike ride with their child there? Again, a shame, they should shut the whole place down IMO.
Recommended Route: Keep driving passed it.

Summary: I ride this trail when I occasionaly have to work out in chantilly. This pass spring MORE did some rerouting of the trail on the east side. I have yet to see any offensive activities, just sword fighting. Any way, I have been able to network about an 8 mile ride here. Most of it is very smooth easy riding w/ lots of small logs to hop over. In the north seciont there is and extra trail loop, about a mile, that lots of fun, w/ narrow, windy single track with rolling hills, a couple of fairly challenging rock gardens and a nice switch back on a steep climb. Which makes this worth the ride. If you live or work within 20 minutes of here check it out for something different other than coltsneck or fountainhead.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Fountainhead, Coltsneck, Accotink, Wakefield.
