doubletrack, singletrack, and more. . . Mostly ATV-style trails, but there's a ton to explore. I've made a few trails of my own that link some of these up to each other. Not lots of climbs, but some technical stuff, creek crossings, rocks 'n' roots, etc . . .

Trail Directions
The traihead can be accessed from the bottom of Southern Parkway, off of Avon extended in C'ville. Exit 121 off of 64, take 20 outh, turn right on Mill Creek, right on Avon extd., quick left onto Southern Parkway. Go to bottom of hill. park. go straight into the grassy area at the bottom of the hill (on the asphalt path), then hang a left at the bottom of the hill (right takes you out somewhere near 5th Street extended near Taco Bell). After turning left, just explore. there's miles of trails. Be careful-some parts are marked as no trespassing, although I've never seen anyone but hikers and bikers. This area may not be around for long, as the Avon-5th Creeet connector is scheduled to go through part of it sometime soon, and development is sure to follow. Enjoy it while you can!

Summary:
I live directly next to this trail and its fun. Me and some friends go on it very often. You can go about 5 miles, but can be made much longer by exploring. There are creeks and rocks. Its real great when raining or snowing.

Recommended Route:
Go into southern parkway to the bottom of the feild. Park at bottom (in fox croft) and hit the trail.

Reviewed by: Brent , from Charlottesville

Summary:
These trails are okay at best. There isn't much climbing and it's mostly motorcycle and 4-wheeler trails, but it's okay. It does have some fun long downhills with a good amount of rocks and water trails to try to kill yourself on. These trails were too short and there may be some more trails further into the trespassing areas. A good, non-technical change of pace for a beginner or intermediate rider.

Recommended Route:
After you get onto the dirt, you have to take a left at the bottom of the hill because the creek cross is pretty tough to do on, or even not on, a bike. Take this along the creek all the way.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Walnut Creek, O Hill.
