, from Middlebury, VT Summary: Go to a local shop to ask directions to good trails and check on access issues and trail conditions. Recommended Route: Philo is a weak little park. Nice place to walk your dog, not worth hauling the bike. Views? Yeah, they're ok, but nothing compared to what some real effort will get you.

, from Burly Summary: Mt. Philo has some crazy views from the top, as well as camping in season.Winter time see mad tobagganeers wail down from the top. We tried a midnight run down once and it was way scarier than that. Recommended Route: There are switchbacks that weave up the hill. The road is for heavy older steel. Woods are for riding bikey.I suggest aluminum.Doh! Other recommended trails in the same area: To Chris: pay the fee or go later in the year. Views excellent, trails exist.Boo!
