White trail is intermediate, with 15% doubletrack, 85% singletrack, some rooty and rocky. Green trail is more difficult, all singletrack except for the dirt road portion, and 100 yards at the end. Both loops include a fair amount of climbing, and both have a sweet downhill run, but the green has another 2 downhills on the lower portion. This trail network kicks ass.
Park behind Papa Nick's Restaurant on Route 116 in the south end of Hinesburg Village (20 minutes from Burlington, 15 minutes from Williston. Ride left out of the parking lot, 1/8 mile down Route 116 south. Take first left (dirt road) which is Buck hill Road. Ride up hill (steep), straight through 4 way intersection. From the intersection, trailhead is 1/8 mile on left hand side, marked by gravel entrance. Follow the white trail (trees marked). (The blue trail is a hiking trail, and is not rideable from the bottom.) You will see a green trail that forks off of the white trail at times, with tight, difficult singletrack. Intermediate riders should stick to the white trail, which is an out and back. Near the end of the white trail, you can turn on to the green trail (which shares 50 yards with the blue trail) and it loops back to the white trail. On the way back down the white trail (near the bottom of the short double track), you will see a mark for the green trail that forks to the right. Take this turn, ride out of the woods, down the dirt road (hill). At the bottom there is a "T". Turn right. Ride down that dirt road about 500 yards, and it turns to gravel. There is a sign that reads "Turn around. No Parking." This is an old town right of way, so keep riding past the signs. At the end of the gravel you will again hit a trailhead, and shortly thereafter will see the green trail fork to the left. Ride it untill you come to an intersection on an old logging road. Go straight through the intersection, up a short steep climb. Ride down the other side until you hit a "T". Go right at the T. Shortly thereafter, the green trail forks left. Follow it until you hit another "T". Go right, and follow the trail to the back of Lyman Meadow Condominiums. Ride out of the condos, and you are back at Papa Nick's restaurant. Time for Ice Cream!
