Cross Country Rider Summary: great riding, awesome trails and tons of stuff to hit. the trails marked easy are snowmobile trails, moderate was fun and fast, but the advanced is where it's at. not too much of it but enough i guess. nice and even some ups and downs, very much like kingdom trails (but a little rougher....and thats good) in that the trails are like a rollercoaster. rippin down then diggin up. i see from previous reviews that the price has gone up to $8, but in my opinion, well worth it. trails are in great shape, not washed out and all beat up.....yet. rode for about 2 hours and a bit over 10 miles and only saw two other riders. some of the landscape is amazing with the old quaries and huge rock piles. HIGHly recommend to everyone i know. Recommended Route: hit them all....i know i will be going back very soon to hit what i didnt ride last time

Cross Country Rider Summary: I spent a weekend riding here and will return often. These trails offer any level of rider as much as he/she could want and, from what I understand, new trails will be developed regularly. The tracking is similar to Kingdom Trails (smooth, pine forest) and the trail design is intelligent, imaginative, and, in being linking with dozens of old granite quarries, give the venue a sense of history and beauty. I'm from VT, ride all over VT and say these trails compare with any. If you're from out of the area and are looking for an inexpensive, unforgettable mt bike weekend, call Pierre and make reservations at the Lodge. Recommended Route: Rambler, Scrambler, Locomotion and, when you're confident, TNT.

Weekend Warrior Summary: These trails are fantastic and they are growing all the time. A good combination of carvey flow and tight technical single track. The views and scenery are amazing (I'm not ussually into that kind of thing). A nice feature is their arrow system. Like the Kingdom trails, there are alot of trail intersections. If you want an advanced ride you just follow the red arrows at all the intersections instead of getting out your map. White arrows mark a shorter less technical loop. They also have a bunch of small loops off the main loop to extend your ride and add technical challenge. Pete has a true passion for trail building and it shows in his work. This is a fun place to ride. Recommended Route: Red arrows. Other recommended trails in the same area: Waterbury or ask Pete and he will set you up.

Ridden Trail: Once a week

Weekend Warrior Summary: WOW!
These trails are awesome! I live in the area and used to drive my car to get to good MTB trails but now I only have to ride out of my driveway.
It seems like there are endless possibilities to choose from when picking a route. With so many interconnecting singletracks coupled with the existing trail system there really is too many combinations when deciding on a route to ride. Sometimes I just go out and wander around trying out new trails. I can't believe how many trails are being added on a weekly basis. The people cutting new trails are doing a great job thinking out new and innovative lines. The use of the area is unbelievable. Sometimes the trail gets back to doubling back on itself but never does.
I have ridden a lot of places around the country including Moab and the UP of Michigan to name a couple and these trails rank right up there. The views are colossal, the trails are challenging, the organization and planning is well thought out, and the layout is as good as you can get. Not to mention you can spend hours and hours on these trails without getting bored.
The trails vary in difficulty and are ridable to all ability levels. The 25$ fee for the season is a steal. with all of the bridges constructed and trail making through some of the best northern woods it is definitely a lot of bang for your buck.
If you haven't been on these trails yet you NEED to get out on them. They are only getting better by the week! Recommended Route: I like to hit a lot on a ride but I do like to start high and work my way down the hill. Try Locomotion to Capital trail to the Vast to Backtrack to Ridgerunner and on to Rambler. That's going from Upper Graniteville towards East Barre.
If I had to pick one favorite trail it would have to be Rambler, make sure to check it out.
