Miles of gnarly, technical yet fun singletrack and wider trails (used for XC skiing in the winter). Best terrain in Vermont. Lots of winding uphills and fast downhills.
From Interstate 89:
Exit 11 for Richmond.
Take US Route 2 east to town of Richmond.
At traffic light, turn right onto Bridge Street.
Bridge St becomes Huntington Rd. Follow this road for about 5 miles.
Turn right onto Sherman Hollow Road (there are also signs for Birds of Vermont Museum and Green Mountain Audubon Nature Center).
Sleepy Hollow is 1.8 miles up Sherman Hollow Road on the left.
From Hinesburg (Rt. 116):
Take Mechanicsville Rd. (or CVU road) to Richmond-Hinesburg Rd., follow ~ 2.5 miles
Go right on Magee Hill Rd.(this is a dirt road)
Magee Hill joins Sherman Hollow Rd. at 1 mile, follow Sherman Hollow 2.5
miles to Sleepy Hollow, which is on the right.

Summary: I like to travel to new places. We had a gang of four and had a great ride, lots of awsome tech. Single track . Even has real large drops for the free riders and down hillers. Eli must have lots of fun setting up new trails . We found almost all the single trk can be done in both directions . Do make sure to take Hans solo in the down direction , even if you go up it . We seen a couple of hikers , Two bikers , and a couple of deer. I will be comeing to visit again . I would advise any Single track monster to go with flow luke. Eli and family hats off to you. See you soon!
Recommended Route: All Star wars single track

Ridden Trail: Once a week

Summary: Only those who are Intermediate to Expert in their mountain biking skills should ride these trails because they are two of the most difficult at Sleepy Hollow. Very technical but extremely fun to ride. These trails, in my opinion, are what mountain biking is all about. Screaming through tight singletrack while blasting your way through large rock gardens and trying to keep your bike (and yourself) from falling dow the side of a mountain. It's an extreme rush.
Recommended Route: Two of the most fun yet technical trails at Sleepy Hollow are Yoda and Death Star. This route will take you from almost the top of a 1,400 foot mountain down to about 900 feet then back up to around 1,200 feet.
Other recommended trails in the same area: If you feel like you are not up to the daunting task of riding a technical downhill trail, don't worry. There are miles of other singletrack trails for every skill level. Millennium Falcon, Hans Solo, Storm Trooper, R2D2, X-Wing, Light Sabre, Wookie, Ziggity-Zack, Skywalker, Ewok, and C3P0 are just a few of the other fun singletrack trails. And if you still don't feel like going on singletrack trails, there are plenty of Nordic skiing trails that are open to biking.
