"Ride it if you can!" This is a brand new Ski/Bike touring center, so there is a small trail use fee. Just came back from riding there today and can't wait to come back for more. The single tracks are tight and technical. There are many trails there, but get on the Butternut Cabin trail.
From Burlington: Take 89 South to the Richmond Exit. Go south on Rt 2 to Richmond. Go right at the Cumberland gas station on Bridge St. At the Round Church, go right on Huntington Rd. When get to the Audubon Center, turn right on to Sherman Hollow Rd. Sleepy Hollow Inn is 1.8 mi. up the road on left.
Summary: rode these trails a few times a year for the past two or three years but havent riden these trails yet this year and probably wont ever again.....trails are terribly marked and even more poorly maintained. the potential is there, but you can tell noone is out maintaining the trail network.
Recommended Route: save your $7 and go to Millstone in Barre, or KT in Burke.

Summary: I have been riding Sleepy Hollow a couple of times a week for three years. This place keeps getting better and better as Eli, the trail architect, is always busy and has a knack for creating rythmic technical trails that make your sould shine for days afterwards. The more you ride here, the more you love it as it takes a dozen rides or more to really get around to all of the single track. This year they offered a season's pass; $50.00 ride all you want. It is sooooo worth it. I am sure that many people won't agree with me but I believe it is as good as "The Kingdom."
Recommended Route: Yoda, Melenium Falcon, Hans Solo, and Light Saber are the most technical
Other recommended trails in the same area: Start riding and you will come up with combinations that you will dream about at work.

Summary: This is the best mountain biking around Champlain Valley. Probably the best in northern VT. Sleepy Hollow has kick ass singletrack and nice easy, wide nordic ski trails that encompass the whole ski & bike center. For a very nominal fee of around $5 you can get a whole days worth of fun and fast riding. Plus the family who owns and runs the place are phenominal. They do so much hard work making Sleepy the place to be. It seems like every few weeks a new trail has been built or is in the process of being built.
Overall Sleepy Hollow Ski and Bike Center is a great place to ride whether you are a seasoned rider or a green beginner.
Recommended Route: Basically any of the singletrack. But be sure to bring one of their maps along with you for the ride. There are many intersections/new trails throughout their land. Anything that has a Star Wars name is sure to be an awesome trail.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Ziggity Zach and this new singletrack trail by Ridge Road are also very fun. If you want to do a long loop go on Hinesburg Hill Loop. It's a nordic ski trail and I believe that its around 10 or so mil

Summary: What a great place, the people were friendly, the scenery was beautiful, and the trails rocked. I can't say enough good things about this place as it was my first mtb experience in Vermont. First, all the trails were very well marked and with the map there is no chance you can get lost. The trails were well maintained overall, I loved the star wars theme, and there were trails for all skill levels, as they have numbered all the trails on the map in order of difficulty. Also, since all the trails are pretty short and head back to the meadows it's nice to stop back at the inn. Overall, an awesome experience and worth every penny of the 6 bucks it cost.
Recommended Route: any of the singletrack, talk to Ian about which ones to go on. Make sure to check out the cabin at the top of the hill

Summary: I ride all over northern VT and typically do not pay to ride. I made an exception, wanting to try out something new, and support local folks like myself. Boy was I surprised at the quality of this place. THe singletracl trails are extremely well built, and sport a little of just about everything. Some rocks, some steeps, lots of tight turns...really nice. I highly recommend Millenium Falcon to Hans Solo. Superior. VT does have better 'pay' riding, but only at Kingdom Trails, and that place is of course impossible to beat. What they have built at Sleepy Hollow is really great, so go, pay a few $, support our local neighbors, and have FUN.
Recommended Route: Take every singletrack trail named after Star Wars
