Ridden Trail: Every few months

Cross Country Rider Summary: A pretty nice trail system with lots of hidden trails off the main path. Get some great speed on the steep graveled downhills but allow yourself time to stop because there is no run out before the lake. Watch out after it rains. The rocks become very very slippery. Had my Bike Come out from under me a few times. Recommended Route: Take the path at the end of the parking lot all the way till you hit the gravel path. Then Climb the hill and look for nice singletrack on your way up.

, from Williston Summary: Nice little trail system for a quick little after work ride. Not recomend for those who fear snakes ! In less than one hr. I saw 3 ! That did it , I headed out of there ! Thay were all harmless Gardener Snakes , but none the less , a most unpleasant sighting . Two were the largest I've ever seen , a couple of inches thick and over 2.5 feet long. They let you almost run over them before they bother to move. I will waite for the ground to freeze before I head out there again. Real nice trails though.

, from Shelburne Summary: Ouch. I rode it from the parking lot and it was pretty tough. Uphill, lots of roots and rocks. I got my front wheel stuck between a couple of roots and did and endo. Nothing broken but I've got a couple of nice big bruises. Maybe I'm not as young as I used to be. Some parts of the trail are pretty steep. Definately not for beginners. I had a hard time climbing some of the hills on foot. Go with a friend. I didn't see anyone else out there. If you get hurt you might end up feeding the racoons. It get's very muddy very easily. It is easier to ride when dry. The rocks are more slippery than the mud. Recommended Route: Enough said. Other recommended trails in the same area: Still looking.

, from Burlington Summary: Despite the negative vibe from past reviewer's, this is a short but sweet ride with lots of fun root systems and launching points for good air. Good rocks throughout, but you have to watch out for peds with dogs. Enjoy! Recommended Route: Take the first right past the Automaster heading south on Rte 7. (Bay road) You'll go under a railroad overpass and about half a klick on the right you'll see the entrance to the trail system (just past the access). Right across from the access is another great trail that goes through a naturalist area along the la Platte river that's a great ride.
