Summary:
lots of tight technical stuff in here. some pretty big stuff if you look in the right places. a lot of the timber was showing its age but the best lines take you off the rock ledges anyway.

not much distance but as the confidence grows you'll start to hit bigger lines each time round. i am at my limit on a xc hardtail and just waiting for a bigger bike...

Recommended Route:
head in by the car park and explore. really no way you can get lost. its a tiny area.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
camp johnson, shelburne bay

Summary:
don't waste your time unless your in the area...i'm a xc/freerider, not a downhiller, but everything in here is very basic, easy stuff. little 2 foot drops you could do on a big wheel. and if you added up all the trail length together, you would not even have a mile. this terain would be fun if there was miles of it.

Recommended Route:
ride somewhere else.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
camp j. waterbury. stowe.

Summary:
Wow. Normally, I'm a pretty solid XC racer. This is the first real free-ride type trail I've ever ridden in my life. After my first run here, I'm really rethinking my decision about geting another race bike this summer. Wow. I can't really take any of the fun things in there because I'm pretty bad at this kind of stuff (got bold and took a 2' drop... didn't go well) but it was still the best thing i've done on my bike.

Recommended Route:
Come into Oakledge from the North Via the bike path, or the main road. They both take you to the same place. Go as far as you can on the road until you reach the end (which is a parking lot). Turn left and head to the NW corner of the lot, and there's the only enterence I could find. Then agian, I didn't really look that hard.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
All of them.

Summary:
I used to ride an incarnation of this trail with Todd Aiken around 1995 when I lived in Burlington. Rocky, slippery, good jumps. Almost broke my neck when I found myself lunging off a hill, but miraculously recovered and landed it!

Speaking of Todd Aiken, I've lost touch with the guy, and would love to get in contact with him (boston617@cox.net)!

Recommended Route:
It's been too long since I've ridden this trail, but I remember it was one of the best trails in the area.
