Cross Country Rider Summary: Great trails for every type of rider. I came here once on a visit with some family, and really loved the place. Except for the fact that I got a little lost. If you are new to the area, definately get a local to show you the choice routes. Really nice singletrack at the top of the hill. I'm from PA, and we have a completely different type of singletrack than this. Lots of rocks, not very twisty. This has great flow. Some nice rutted and rooted sections, and gooc climbing and descending. Recommended Route: I got really lost cauas I was just riding around. I wish there was a map. Whatever. I recommend it Other recommended trails in the same area: I hear catamount is nice too

Cross Country Rider Summary: This place offers all that is good in mountain biking. A nice variety of terrain, good technical singletrack, heart-pounding hills, nice bridges and stream crossings, and too many trails to ride them all in one day. What more could you ask for? Recommended Route: Saxons Hill Loop Other recommended trails in the same area: Mobb Valley and Mobb Hill

Weekend Warrior Summary: Spongebob, we must be almost neighbors. I bought a house last year about a mile from the trailhead and REALLY enjoy having this gem in my 'back yard.'
There's something for everyone - smooth and mellow double track down low, steep climbs, fast downhills, technical downhills. Someone's even been building some small bridges (thank you, whoever built the one through the swamp!) Recommended Route: Usually up the hill by the water tower, continuing on the logging trail. Then up to the old (radio tower?) footings at the top of the hill. Cruise down the far side & head up some more of the double track. Hang a right back onto the single track and either get lost swinging left (eventually working my way out) or hanging a right and getting less lost. Other recommended trails in the same area: Catamount's trails are decent, but their wednesday night training races are great. Had a good ride at Sleepy Hollow (& it's run by some old HS Classmates.) Colchester HS is good cruising, Camp Johnson is good, but risky.

Weekend Warrior Summary: I just bought a house a mile from the trailhead. How psyched am I to have great trails in in "my backyard!" Good combination of flat doubletrack, hills, singletrack, some gnarly sections, but not too crazy for the most part. Hard enough to have improved my riding, but not scare me. Recommended Route: Up the single track past the water tower, left onto the doubletrack, first right onto singletrack. Up the doubletrack, first right up the singletrack. It's all downhill from here. Other recommended trails in the same area: Catamount is worth a ride, CHS, Camp Johnson (If you don't mind trespassing! Wish they'd re-open it.)
