Rojo Trail

I thought the Rojo trail was the best in the Vernal area...ride and push a bike up the red mountain trail to the Rojo trailhead the trailhead is hidden in Juniper trees but is marked...the trail itself is marked with white paint dots...3+ Miles of awesome flowy tech downhill on slickrock...think Gooseberry mesa but all downhill...would go back to Vernal for this trail alone!!

Summary:
I'm glad I had my GPS and could punch in coordinates... there are no signs at the trailhead. There are signs all along the Red Mountain trail. This jeep trail is very rideable, but think Amasa Back meets a reverse Porcupine Rim. You'll feel like you've earned the DH when you top out on this one.

I found a short section of single track hidden in the trees but it clearly wasn't RoJo.

Bottom line? Best get some really good local knowledge to find this trail. I looked for it and couldn't find it. Someone needs to post the GPS coordinates for the start of RoJo.

Do NOT ride over the top and start descending the other side. It'll dump you out down on the flats headed for the lake... then you'll have to turn around and ride it all the way back around. It was a good workout but the backside is pretty loose for the climb back.

Good luck!
